The layout of your kitchen is very important, having a good flow and use of space is a must. In the design concept of this kitchen, all these aspects were taken into consideration to produce the best working layout for this space. Adding in an under-mount double sink beside the dishwasher will allow for quick clean up and a sleek, clean look. Microwaves can always be a pain so by adding in an OTR, you are not only saving space on your counter but also combining two appliances into one thus saving space. Storage always seems to be lacking in most kitchens so adding in a 26” depth pantry beside the built in fridge allows for the extra storage a kitchen needs. The depth of the pantry is perfect for all pots and pans along with any boxed and canned foods.
Since the kitchen is in a smaller scale space, the perfect colour can make or break the space. I believe staining the base cabinets and painting the uppers in a white will brighten up the space, but also flow with the rest of the design of the home. Adding brushed nickel hardware to the cabinets will create a connection back to the stainless steel appliances. Flooring and back-splash are always efficient ways of bringing in some colour to the space. For the kitchen keeping a simple floor in a neutral colour for the tiles will lighten up the space, whereas adding in color for the back-splash would work best. Adding in under-cabinet lighting and pot lights over the sink will showcase the new kitchen perfectly, thus finishing the space.
